TML PUBLISHING
TML Publishing was a Christchurch based publishing house, specialising in various travel, leisure and entertainment guides.
In this job position I was employed as a Junior Graphic Designer within the publishing house. My role involved working on the production of the various industry-leading travel and lifestyle print and electronic publications produced by the company - internationally-praised 'Destination NZ', the 'New Zealand Trade Manual', leisure guides 'Brown Bear Indulge' and 'Brown Bear Ski and Snowboard', and lifestyle and entertainment bible 'Cityscape' magazine.
The projects involved working within a template and following strict style guidelines to keep the integrity of the brand and publication. I also produced advert artwork for within the publications, performed image manipulation and basic website content updates. A large aspect of the job was communicating and liaising with advertising clients, in order to track and acquire artwork material and sign-off.
Each advertising client had a file that needed to be updated regularly to keep track of artwork progress, and filed into the system accordingly. This required me to be very organised and systematic, in order to make the production of the publications run smoothly and to deadline.
